Philadelphia Eagles Tickets

eagles tickets nfl

Philadelphia Eagles tickets are pouring out of the box office as fast as they can be printed. The Eagles have provided NFL fans with as much excitement and top quality NFL football as any team in the league. Andy Reid’s gang of birds is back at full strength in 2008 so don’t get caught short, head to Lincoln Financial Field with your Philadelphia Eagles tickets now!

The Philadelphia Eagles joined the NFL in 1933; they have won 3 NFL titles, and they have made 2 Super Bowl appearances. In 1943, due to WWII, some teams were not able to fill their rosters, so for one season, and one season only, the Philadelphia Eagles merged with the Pittsburgh Steelers to create the Phil-Pitt Steagles. Luckily, that didn't last long. The general manager is Tom Heckert, and the team is led by head coach Andy Reid. The Eagles play their home games at Lincoln Financial Field and they conduct summer training camp at Lehigh University. The following Pro Football Hall of Famers were members of the Eagles organization: Chuck Bednarick (1967), Bert Bell (1963), Bob Brown (2004), Mike Ditka (1988), Bill Hewitt (1971), Sonny Jurgensen (1983), James Lofton (2003), John Madden (2007), Ollie Matson (1972), Tommy McDonald (1998), "Art" Monk (2008), Earle Neale (1969), Pete Pihos (1970), Jim Ringo (1981), Norm Van Brocklin (1971), Steve Van Buren (1965), Reggie White (2006), Alex Wojiechowicz (1968). The following jersey numbers are retired by the Philadelpphia Eagles:
#15 - Steve Van Buren - HB/S - 1944-1951
# 40 - Tom Brookshier - DB - 1953-1961
# 44 - Pete Retzlaff - RB/WR/TE - 1956-1966
# 60 - Chuck Bednarick - C/LB - 1949-1962
# 70 - Al Wistert - OT - 1943-1951
# 92 - Reggie White - DE - 1985-1992
# 99 - Jerome Brown - DT - 1986-1992

Some notable additions to the roster this season include Asante Samuel, Chris Clemons, Dan Klecko, and L.J. Smith. The most notable loss is probably Takeo Spikes.
